Porphy is a hearthian winemaker, but their sap wine is more known in the village as more of a chore rather than a pleasure. They call their product the Good Stuff.

Initial Conversation
- “Heyo, hatchling!
I hear you're leaving us to seek adventure amongst the stars. When you return, let's you, me, and Gossan open up a bottle of the Good Stuff.”- >I'm only seeking adventure amongst one star, actually. Other stars are too far away.
- “Another metaphor ruined in the name of scientific accuracy.
Nevertheless, I do hope you enjoy your travels. Good luck!”

- >The Good Stuff is less "delicious sap wine" and more "daunting digestive challenge".
- “An iron stomach is the mark of a true Hearthian, my friend.
Our hardy hunter-gatherer lifestyle stems from trial and error. By which I mean our ancestors survived eating a lot of bad things.”

- “I'm hoping to teach Esker to tap trees next time they return from the Attlerock. If they'll bring me lunar sap, I can attempt moon wine!”
- >What are you up to?
- “I've just finished sealing up another batch of sap wine for aging. I like to begin aging a batch on the day of a significant occasion, you know!
That's why there are so many bottles labeled "structural collapse" and "house fire".”

Trivia
- Esker, who has a habit of sending their Little Scout on clandestine "visits" to the village, recommends in their signalscope log that someone tell Porphy and Gossan that their flirting "is not subtle from an aerial perspective."
- Despite its mixed reviews, Porphy's sap wine is culturally important, figuring in the coming-of-age ritual in which young Hearthians are no longer considered hatchlings when their stomachs have strengthened enough to consume it.[1]
- As with all Hearthians, they are named after minerals. Porphy is likely named after porphyry, which is any of various granites or igneous rocks with coarse-grained crystals such as feldspar or quartz dispersed in a fine-grained silicate-rich, generally aphanitic matrix or groundmass.
