Galena is a Hearthian child. They and their friend Tephra can be found with their radios sitting on the front porch of a house. Their friend, Tephra, asks the Protagonist to play hide and seek with them using their radios and the Protagonist's signalscope. Galena is characterized as somewhat shy, with minimal dialogue that only appears in a smaller font size.

- Galena, along with Tephra, Hornfels, and Hal, is one of the few Hearthians who is not always located in the same place. They are first found on the porch of a house with Tephra, and move to a hiding place on a ledge accessible by platforming if playing hide and seek.
- Galena is a mineral typically used to make Crystal radios, a type of radio that requires no power, but therefore is quiet, due to lack of amplification. Such radios were common in early days of radio development. This is a reference to the fact that Galena plays a game with the signalscope, a radio parallel within the Outer Wilds universe. It is also likely a reference to the fact that Galena is a much quieter character than the other Hearthians, apparent in their smaller text.
